What can I expect?
Studying at a University of Cooperative Education is a real alternative to studying at a traditional university or technical college. You will study for six semesters including practical experience and at the same time you will complete a professional training!
The trainee allowance paid while you study will give you security and financial independence. Hence this is just the right choice for focussed and motivated people.
Practical experience:
Compulsory module: Sales
Elective module: Purchasing, planning, controlling, human resources, marketing, projects, etc.
Theory:
Training in theoretical knowledge with emphases on:
- finance and accounting
- trade marketing
- human resources management

What happens when I have completed my degree?
Good BA students, who have proven themselves in the degree course as well as the work phases, will generally get a permanent position with Karstadt.
After successfully completing your degree, you will be given a position such as for instance as purchaser, project staff or management assistant, depending on your skills and achievements.
